How do I manage an asset?

Relocate, update and amend assets.

To make amendments to assets and their related groups, you must have the relevant Asset Schema Manage permissions.

- To view a list of your assets, head to the assets tab on the left-hand menu 

- From here, you will see a list of all of your assets that is filterable by asset related characteristics such as Status and Condition 

- To add a new asset, select the Create Asset button in the top-right and fill in the relevant details. It's important to note, you must have set up your asset Categories, Types, Models, Suppliers and Manufacturers in the Settings area before creating a new asset 

- To view the details of a particular asset, select it from the list to open the Asset View Page

- From here, you will see the following options within the blue actions bar:

  • Relocate Asset
  • Create a work order with the asset linked
  • Update asset condition
  • Update asset status 

The options shown in the actions bar will vary depending on the current status of the asset, for example, an asset that is 'Out of Service' will not have the option to be associated to a work order. 

- Should you want to amend individual asset details, you can select the relevant feld and amend the form that appears as needed

- From this page, you can also view your asset lifecycle details which will be calculated from the asset type
