How do I set up a user with SSO?

Enable users to sign in with SSO.

Existing Users

- Head to the Users area of Settings and choose the relevant user you would like to set up with SSO

- Within the details card, find the 'Enable single sign on' field and select Yes

- Once this is selected, you can re-send the welcome email to the relevant user. This will trigger a separate SSO pairing email to be sent, that includes a link which the user must follow within 72 hours to pair their SSO account to Expansive

- If you don't re-send the welcome email, when the user tries to sign in, this will trigger the above SSO pairing email to be sent and the user will be greeted with help text directing them to their inbox

- If the user is already logged in to their SSO provider, they will automatically be paired and signed in to Expansive

- If not, the user will first need to sign in to the relevant account with their provider before accessing Expansive

- If a user doesn't pair the account within 72 hours, when they next try to sign in, they will see the above help text directing them to their email where a new email and link will be sent

It's worth noting, if multiple users share a single inbox, each user who has been set up with SSO will receive an individual email. Please ensure you are pairing the correct user account mentioned in the email.

New Users

- Go to the Users area in Settings and select Add User in the top right

- Ensure Yes is selected for the 'Enable Enterprise Single Sign-On for this user?' field on the form

- Once saved, when the welcome email is triggered, the SSO pairing email above will also be sent
