What's new at Expansive this month?
Asset Handling 🗳️
The moment we've all been waiting for has arrived. Contractors can now provide accurate asset service details on work orders. Here, contractors can make recommendations about various asset characteristics such as Status and Condition and then submit these for review. Internal users can then approve or reject these recommendations, helping to keep asset registers up to date and accurate.
Users will see the option to add or review service details from within the Assets tab on the relevant work order, as well as from the Work Orders tab on the related asset.
In addition to this, within the Work Orders tab users will see any approved spend against an asset on a work order. This spend is then plotted on the asset lifecycle chart with details of the related work order. Within the Lifecycle tab, users can also now see this spend included in the Spend To Date and Spend Against Costs totals for the asset, helping to make more informed decisions around the asset.
This feature can be included as part of a workflow. Please get in touch with Support if you would like to set this up.
Uncaptured Spend 💵
Users can now add any ad-hoc spends not relating to a work order to the system within a new dedicated Settings area for Uncaptured Spends. Here, users are able to link assets to the spend, as well as assign a budget or cost code. These spends will then be included in the relevant budget trackers and asset spend totals.
Planned Work Scheduling 🗓️
Planned work templates on weekly schedules can now be set to create work orders on specific days. Now, users can better tailor templates to account for days when the Site may be closed, meaning less abandoned work orders, and more seamless schedules.
As part of this work, we have also introduced better template permissions, so users no longer need 'manage' permissions to view planned work templates and their schedules, but instead can be given a 'view' permission. These permission changes also allow for users to be set up so they can amend planned work schedules but not necessarily planned work templates, giving greater flexibility.
