New Budget System - Enhanced Financial Planning and Management 💰
We're excited to introduce a powerful new budget system that will revolutionise the way you manage your financial planning and budgeting. This system offers a range of features designed to streamline your workflows and provide greater control over your budget.
In place of the previous Settings screen, users now have access to a new and improved page. Here, users can easily create budgets, with high level details such as descriptions and restrictions, but they can also manage the all new budget cycles.
A budget cycle relates to a financial year and holds the granular information about totals, overspend and financial periods.
The new system allows users to apply recurrence rules to the cycles, meaning the system will automatically create the next cycle at a time that's convenient for you, as well as copy any totals should this be required. Users can opt to be notified before the cycles are automatically created for better oversight, and will receive further communication once the system has set these up. Should the system fail to create the cycles, users will receive a notification as to why, ensuring all of the necessary information is in the system.
These recurrence rules can be set from the all new dedicated budget view screen. Here, as well as being able to tailor recurrence details, users can select between various tabs to see the budget associations such as cycles, work orders and planned work schedules.
Users can also choose to clone a budget from the actions wheel on this page, copying all details including associated cycles and cycle recurrence rules.
