Location-Based Hazards ⚠️
We’re excited to introduce a series of improvements focused on enhancing the visibility and management of hazards within Expansive FM. These updates are designed to streamline the handling of location-based hazards, ensuring safety is front and centre for all our users.
Simplified Hazard Settings
We’ve renamed the “Hazard” area within Settings to simply “Hazards,” making it easier to navigate and access all your hazard management tools in one place.
Clickable Hazard Cards for Quick Edits
The Health & Safety tab has been improved with a brand-new card format for hazards. Each card is now clickable, and once selected, you can make quick edits in a side pane, including uploading relevant files that are displayed right within the card.
New Hazard Management for Maintainable Entities
We’ve added a dedicated Hazards tab that allows users to upload hazards against maintainable entities. You can choose from a list of pre-existing hazards or create new hazards in-line, and upload related documents for better hazard tracking.
Automatic Hazard Assignment for Work Orders
We’ve improved the logic behind work orders, so now, if a work order is created with or within a location that has an associated hazard, that hazard and any related files are automatically assigned to the work order. No more manual steps, just a safer workflow.
New Detailed Hazard View Screen
A new Hazard View screen is now available! From this screen, users can access and amend various hazard characteristics and fields, as well as view related activity, files, and locations where each hazard has been assigned. This detailed view ensures you have all the information you need at your fingertips.
Enhanced Hazard Visibility for Service Requests
To help contractors stay informed, we’ve added known hazard badges to the top of the Service Request view screen. This ensures that hazards are clearly visible before a contractor accepts work, helping to keep everyone safe.
Hazard Details in Work Order Emails
Identified work order hazards are now included in email notifications to contractors. These hazard details will appear in emails sent when a service request is created, when a work order service is assigned, and when an engineer is assigned to the task.
Improved Hazard Amendment Notifications
We’ve introduced a new notification system for work orders, so contractors are informed whenever there are changes to hazards associated with their assigned work. This ensures that everyone stays in the loop about potential safety concerns.
