What's New At Expansive This Month?
📢 New Feature: Warranty Works – Smarter Workflows, Fewer Surprises
We’ve just launched a new set of tools to help you stay one step ahead when it comes to managing assets under warranty. Say hello to Warranty Works—a smarter way to avoid unnecessary costs and route work orders more effectively.
🛠 Know Before You Go: Warranty Warnings Built In
Now, when creating a work order or engaging a contractor (like requesting a quote or service), you’ll get a heads-up if any assets involved are still under warranty. The system will flash a clear warning with the asset card, showing key warranty info like:
-
Warranty dates
-
Supplier and manufacturer names
-
Contact details
So you’ll know exactly who to talk to—and when not to raise a chargeable job.
🔁 Smarter Workflows with Warranty Guards
We’ve also upgraded workflow setup with a transition guard that can spot assets under warranty. This means you can create parallel workflows to route these jobs differently—whether that’s looping in suppliers directly or flagging for internal review first.
If you would like to implement a warranty workflow using this transition guard, please reach out to Support for help getting this set up.
👀 Quick Filters on Work Orders
Need to check which of your work orders involve warranty-covered assets? You can now filter directly from the Work Order Index. Warranty status is right there—no digging required.
✍️ Improved Supplier Forms
Finally, we’ve added new optional fields to the asset supplier form, letting you capture phone numbers and email addresses for both the supplier and manufacturer. These details now show up in the asset’s order information card—making it easier to act fast when you need to.
This is just the beginning for smarter asset management. Warranty Works helps reduce spend, streamline decisions, and keep everyone in the loop when it matters most.
Weekend SLA Calculations ⏱️
No working over weekends? No bother - you can now choose for fix and attendance SLAs to skip weekends to help ensure the calculations work with your internal processes.
Users can now head to Contractor SLAs, and select the below checkbox to set this up:
That's it for this month. Let us know what you think—we’re listening.
