Smarter Contractor Management & AI-Powered Invoicing

This release brings two major updates to make everyday workflows more efficient: powerful new contractor tagging options and AI-driven invoicing.

Contractor Tags 🏷️

We’ve introduced a brand-new way to organise and manage contractors with tags.

Users with the right permissions can now add tags to contractor records, making it easier to group, search, and filter contractors at a glance. Tags are clearly visible under each contractor’s name in the contractor index, so you can immediately see how they’ve been categorised.

From the contractor view page, admins can manage tags directly via the actions wheel - giving them full control over updates and changes.

We’ve also improved the contractor index to support bulk updates. Users can now select multiple contractors at once and quickly update their enabled status or apply tags in just a few clicks.

AI Invoicing 🤖💰

Processing invoices just got a lot smarter.

With our new AI invoicing feature, users can upload invoice documents and let the system automatically extract key details. Where possible, the AI will populate fields like contractor reference, invoice value, date, and tax amount.

The system also supports partial extraction, meaning if only some details are identified, those fields will still be pre-filled - saving time and reducing manual entry.

This enhancement makes handling invoices faster, more accurate, and far less of a manual task.

Upgraded Interface 💅

We've improved the user experience by upgrading the style of the app so it's in line with our design system that we are working on. Users will notice a slick interface, with improvements to areas such as headers, buttons, and index screens. 

With this, we've also introduced a new search bar on the Settings page, to help users navigate the area more effectively. 

General Platform Improvements 🔧

We’ve enhanced the contractor experience by allowing multiple files to be uploaded for a single question on the contractor view screen and contractor profile. This improvement makes it easier to provide complete and supporting documentation in one go - saving time and reducing back-and-forth communication. 

We’ve also improved dashboards by introducing a new widget for unread quote request comments. Users can now easily track and manage new activity directly from their dashboard - helping teams stay on top of quote discussions and respond faster.

Lastly, we've enhanced cost code management with new controls that let users set whether cost code selection is mandatory for an Organisation.
