What are SLAs?
Defining SLAs and how they might help your business.
- SLA stands for service-level agreement
- It is an agreement between a client and a service provider that defines what service will be provided, as well as what standard the provider must meet
- In facilities management, SLAs are often used between a site and its contractors to determine the appropriate time frames for work orders to be responded to, as well as the work itself to be attended to and resolved
- SLAs are helpful in this sense as they allow for comparison between contractors and help give an overview of service levels
